Jennifer Bayne: Math

Welcome to Mrs. Bayne's 5th Grade Math & Social Studies Class

Welcome !!!

Please see “Daily Schedules” tab for class rotation schedule

Conference Period: 12:15 – 1:15 p.m.

Homework Policy: I ususally assign homework on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Homework is due the next day unless otherwise stated. Homework will be a practice for concepts that have already been taught in class.

This year I am very invested in fostering a “Growth Mindset” in my classroom. Please feel free to contact me by email or during my conference if you would like to know more about this amazing practice. There is nothing you have to buy, write, make, or do; it is all about investing your time and effort in yourself through learning, adapting, thinking, and attitude.

We have initiated a District Wide program called "No Excuses University" in order to make our students college ready by graduation. Each classroom on our Intermediate campus has adopted a college to display and learn about this year.

Our  classroom's adopted college is the Barton College Bulldogs.

Barton College is located in Wilson, North Carolina. My father is a distinguished, tenured professor, and the Director of the Criminal Justice and Criminolgy department at Barton College.
